HN-2026Ngoc Huan Nguyen

End-to-end IoT engineer. I take a product from the sensor on the circuit board to the dashboard in the browser, and keep it running in the field.

1.1Features

  • Low-power firmware: multi-year battery life on ESP32 and nRF52
  • Edge gateways that buffer offline and never drop a reading
  • Secure provisioning and OTA updates that can't brick a device
  • MQTT / LoRaWAN / BLE / Modbus pipelines into time-series storage
  • Real-time dashboards and alerting that operators actually use

1.2Applications

  • Smart agriculture
  • Industrial energy monitoring
  • Home & building automation
  • Connected health wearables

2Pin configuration and functions

Each pin is a skill I use in production. Scroll to power up each side of the package.

  1. North · FirmwareBare-metal and RTOS firmware for microcontrollers, tuned for power and reliability.
  2. East · ConnectivityRadio and wired protocols that move readings off the device, even over poor links.
  3. South · EdgeLinux gateways that filter, buffer and update the fleet safely.
  4. West · Cloud & dataBrokers, storage and dashboards that turn telemetry into decisions.

3Typical application: live device

A simulated thermostat node running the same logic I ship: it publishes telemetry over MQTT, takes commands, and buffers data when the network drops. Try the controls.

    5Application examples

    5.1

    Smart farm monitoring

    LoRaWAN · ESP32 · ChirpStack · InfluxDB

Problem. Farms had no visibility into soil moisture across 40 hectares, and Wi-Fi didn't reach the fields.

Approach. Solar-powered LoRaWAN nodes with deep-sleep firmware, a single gateway on the barn roof, and an irrigation rule engine in the cloud.

    Industrial energy tracker

Modbus RTU · Go · TimescaleDB · Grafana

Problem. A factory paid peak tariffs without knowing which machines drove the load.

Approach. A Go edge service polls 60 power meters over Modbus, buffers to disk when the uplink drops, and streams per-machine energy to TimescaleDB.

    Wearable vitals band

    nRF52 · Zephyr · BLE GATT · TinyML

Problem. A health startup needed continuous heart-rate monitoring that lasted a week on a coin-sized battery.

Approach. Zephyr firmware with on-device anomaly detection, so the radio only wakes to send events, plus a BLE sync service in the mobile app.
